Emiratisation at NBF - Business Leaders of Tomorrow
 
To help talented UAE Nationals become tomorrow’s business leaders, we’re committed to helping them unlock their career potential in the banking sector. We create opportunities for Emiratis to engage with our inspirational people and actively participate in our blend of challenging, stimulating projects and effective training.

We have developed robust, multi-disciplinary plans to recruit, train, develop, retain UAE Nationals at all levels. In helping them become leading professionals in the banking sector, we also help them become positive contributors to the welfare and development of the UAE.

We enable the development and career progression of UAE Nationals in these key ways:

Management Trainee Programme (for fresh graduates)
We designed this programme to develop young graduates’ banking and leadership skills, giving them the opportunity to achieve their career potential at NBF.

During this 12-month programme, trainees get direct exposure to all aspects of the bank and the tools they need to support their long-term development.  We build up their knowledge and skills in a variety of ways. They learn how to handle varying workloads and adjust to different work environments. In this way, talented, hard-working graduates with the right attitudes get the opportunity to develop their banking and leadership skills and can realise their career potential at NBF.

Sponsoring UAE Nationals (for students in their 4th year of study)
We sponsor talented and hardworking Emiratis’ tuition in their 4th year of study. The goal is to welcome them to NBF after their graduation.

Internships (for university and college students)
An NBF internship helps students sharpen their skills as they gain practical work experience. They can then apply this knowledge in their studies and in their future careers.

National Development Programme (for all Emiratis)
We see our employees’ personal performance and developmental goals as being as important as NBF’s strategic goals and objectives. We’re passionate about helping our employees develop their abilities and meet their personal aspirations.

This also ultimately enhances the value we bring to our customers.

Our annual National Development Programme for Emiratis focuses on equipping our talented UAE National employees with the skills and competencies they need for their current and future roles.

Career Advancement Programme (qualified Emirati employees) 
We designed this programme especially to help Emiratis obtain the appropriate level of training, development and support they need to fast track their careers.

Together, we identify a clearly achievable 12-month career path, giving keen and committed Emiratis the opportunity to make their career dreams a reality at NBF.

Once the candidates successfully complete the course, they ‘graduate’ and are officially promoted into the targeted role.

Career Fair
We recognise the various Career Fairs happening across the UAE as an important platform for us to engage Emirati talent. Our presence at these events is part of our ongoing efforts to attract UAE Nationals.

When we say we support the UAE’s Nationalisation efforts, we mean it, and we demonstrate this in our capacity and capability to attract and develop Emiratis into leadership positions in the financial sector.
